Round Logs

Round logs are exported directly from KFPL's deep water port at Pulisingau or Ringgi Cove.  Kolombangara.

At Pulisingau KFPL's wharf the draft is 8 meters at low water.  Within 3 meters of the wharf the depth is 10 meters bur access is restricted to ships with a capacity of up to 8000m³ capacity (8000 tonnes deadweight). (maximum vessel length 130meters)

At Ringgi Cove the  wharf the draft is 12meters at low water.  Within 2 meters of the wharf the depth is 25 meters; access is excellent and vessels of up to 25,000 m3 capacity can berth with comfort.

KFPL maintains its own trained team of stevedores.

A pilot is available from the nearby port of Noro - about 1 hours' sailing time from Pulisingau or Ringgi.

Sawn Timber

Sawn timber can be exported as break bulk cargo on log ships directly from Pulisingau.

Alternatively, sawn timber can be exported by container from Noro, the deep water container port which is about 1 hours sailing time south-east of Pulisingau.  Schedules are available from the local shipping agent.
